# Job Description

Project Description: Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control Epic,
a five-year global project funded by the U.S. Agency for International
Development USAID and implemented by FHI 360.
In Uganda, Epic supports Ministry of Health MOH and its partners to improve
COVID-19 vaccine uptake across the We are currently seeking qualified
candidates to fill the following positions below.
Regional Finance and Operations Coordinator Locum
Duration: locum for 120 working days
Reports: Epic Uganda Project Manager
Station: Epic-FHI 360 offices in Kampala, with frequent >75% travel to
various districts in Uganda.
Number of positions: 35

Key responsibilities:
• Work with field program teams to review and prepare payment requisitions,
process AP templates, and post transactions in the organization’s finance
management and payment system
• Review and retire of accountabilities from staff Support FHI 360’s Office of
Compliance and Internal Audit’s OCIA audits and follow up recommendations by
OCIA to ensure their conclusion Review consultant deliverables and process
payments to consultants by ensuring necessary supporting documents are
attached
Review, follow up, and prepare travel and work advances reports
• Support FHI 360 country office CO audit process by reviewing vouchers for
completeness and responding to auditors’ requirements
• Prepare VAT schedules, follow up on receipts from suppliers, submit VAT
schedule and supporting documents to USAID on a timely basis
• File payment vouchers, stamp payments as “PAID”, and scan payment documents
on a weekly basis and upload them on organization’s filing system
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with IP finance and
program teams

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree majoring in accounting from a recognized university;
CPA/ACCA qualification; and recognized university; CPA/ACCA qualification; and
with 3 or more years’ experience of working with projects funded by USA
government agencies USAID, CDC OR DOD
• At least five years or more working experience in an NGO environment
• Excellent financial and organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to effectively communicate project financial information to a variety
of different audiences
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact
professionally with diverse people, clients, and consultants
Ability to work with teams and under minimum supervision
• Commitment to contributing to and promoting a positive work environment
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Finance & Administration Assistant
Duration: locum for 120 working days Reports: Regional Finance and Operations
Monitor
Number of positions: 35
Station: Epic-FHI 360 offices in Kampala, with frequent >75% travel to
various districts in Uganda.

Key responsibilities:
• Review accountabilities from staff for accuracy and correctness
• Review Mobile Money payments and upload them into Beyonic system Review
invoices from the vendors and attach all the supporting documents.
Stamping payments “PAID”, Photocopying and scanning both bank and mobile money
payments and upload them into share point.
• File all financial documents following the RAB coding system. Retrieve
financial documents required for both internal and external audit.
• Organize and manage workshops, meetings, conferences.

Qualifications and experience: Should have a bachelor’s degree in
accounting or a related field from a recognized university. CPA /ACCA level Il
or higher and at least two years of working experience in a USAID funded
organization.
