# Job Description

Reports to the pharmacist, he/she will review prescriptions completed by
medical doctors, record medications dispensed in patient file and completes
all stock and dispensing records.

Main Duties:
• Review prescriptions completed by doctors and fills order
• Records medication dispenses in patient files
• Completes all stock and dispensing records as instituted by clinic
administrative staff
• Provides instruction to all patients on drug taking schedules and how to
avoid specific side effects from the drugs
• Completes a quarterly stock inventory
• Completes daily and monthly dispensing totals
• Participates as a full member of the IDC health care team

Qualifications, skills and experience
• Diploma in pharmacy from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in a clinical setting
• Must have registered with Allied Health Professionals’ Council
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer knowledge and skills
• Knowledge on HIV/AIDS and related treatment in such as Antiretroviral
Therapy ART
