inequitable access, poor quality and insufficient resources continue to
prevent millions of children from enjoying an education that unlocks their
full potential. This has only been exacerbated by the COVID pandemic, bringing
even more barriers for the children and families struggling the most.

The Opportunity
As Global Senior Finance Manager GSFM, you will coordinate all PEAS’
global financial processes ensuring strong financial management, championing
value for money and sustainability across the organisation.
To keep pace with over 10 years of fast growth and in readiness for a new and
equally ambitious strategic period, PEAS has developed a strong foundation of
financial management across all countries of operations.
But, there is a lot more we want to achieve to truly maximise value for money,
and this role will sit within an ambitious global team to lead the regular
review and improvement of financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring
processes.

The Global Senior Finance Manager has been designed to deliver on the
following outcomes
• Strategic finances – PEAS’ Senior Management Team, Board & Finance Committee
have access to accurate, reliable and timely organisational financial data and
insights to drive strategic decision making.
• Consolidated audit- Coordinate group external auditors and PEAS’ finance
teams to successfully deliver globally consolidated annual audited accounts
within 5 months of year-end.
• Management accounts- Timely and accurate production of monthly consolidated
global management accounts, quarterly Finance, Audit & Risk Committee meeting
papers, and periodic global budget reforecasts.
• Grant financial management – Oversee high quality and timely budget
preparation and financial reporting for a portfolio of PEAS’ high priority
grants with support from Global Grants Officer and wider Grants Management
capacity
• Technical assistance – All PEAS Country Office finance teams receive finance
technical assistance to support consistency of financial management and strong
strategic finance practices across the organisation.
• PEAS UK finance processes – Oversee UK Finance & Admin Assistant and/or
finance outsourcing provider to ensure smooth delivery of PEAS UK and global
cash management finance processes

To be successful in this role you will need to have at least 3-5 years’
experience in a senior level financial management role with a proven track
record of budgeting, reporting, cashflow management, and audit and driven by
delivering value for money and sustainability in a low-resourced setting.

way forward in the end. For the right individual, this challenge will be
exciting as you bring onboard your experience and skills to make our ambitious
strategy a reality.
We would like this role to be based in either of our countries of operations –
Uganda or Zambia and therefore will prioritise Zambian and Ugandan nationals
or those with the existing right to work in those countries and who meet the
criteria. However, we are open to candidates based in other parts of Africa.
