# Job Description

To initiate, develop, and monitor the implementation of systems, policies, and
working procedures for managing financial activities in line with the
organization’s mission and objectives

Overall Responsibilities

1. Initiate, develop and monitor the implementation of financial control systems, policies and procedures in line with Baylor Uganda financial policies and regulations
2. Initiate, monitor and review timely preparation and submission of management accounts and financial statements and forecasts in line with International Financial Reporting Standards and Donor requirements;
3. Prepare a consolidated project annual budget, then monitor the preparation and implementation of approved departmental/ activity budgets in line Annual Work Plans;
4. Ensure periodic internal, external and donor audits and implement related audit findings to improve project implementation;
5. Review and approve documents/reports regarding procurement, distribution, allocation and appropriate use of assets, facilities, materials, staff salaries and other expenditures;

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:

–>· A Degree in Commerce, Accounting /Finance and Relevant Masters · The candidate must have at least five 5 years of working experience providing finance leadership in programs of similar size.
–>· Good IT skills in Microsoft Office packages and knowledge of Navision.
–>· Professional qualification and membership to ACCA, CPA
–>5 Years Relevant Experience
